Sports Biomechanics

Introduction

Sport increases fitness.

In the modern workplace, regular sport has become an important factor that contributes to people’s health. How does one engage in and perform healthy sport? What stresses can cause problems, what can be tolerated? What is the stress distribution within a joint during movement? What are the relevant mechanical parameters to enhance performance? Our research covers exercise and other complex movements. We combine the results of motion data with force and EMG data using inverse dynamics, modeling and FE calculations. Whole body simulations based on motion and force data have strong evidence in sports biomechanics.
